  • The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the successful execution of this high priority, strategic project in the Operations Track by tying into and extending the existing operation.
    As a result, there is a need to understand the fundamentals of the organization and how people operate to manage projects effectively.

    For these projects, the Project Engineer will take ownership and gather the project team, outline the key goals to be achieved, the plan to achieve them, and will then oversee successful delivery of the results with internal and external resources.

    As a second priority, it will also support the logistics organization to thrive in the market and to reach the company goals by implementing, improving and maintaining the technical installations and products by advising and assisting the Regions with technical knowledge and driven by process optimization perspective.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    1. Project Leadership regarding Operations Domain

    • Execute the project within the set budget and time according to the local legislation.

    • Inventorize the needs of the organization and users for technical installations and products.

    • Propose solutions that will contribute to quality and efficiency of the technical installations, products and logistic processes within the depots.

    • Advise the overall Project Manager with technical knowledge on maintenance of technical installations and products.

    • Support the implementation on site of the solution until project is transferred to Operations.

    • Ensure the alignment with the actual and future IT landscape and new ERP implementation.

    • Continuous new suppliers research for engineering and development projects to ensure wide options choices depending on the different project location and characteristics.

    2. Other Engineering and Development Projects

    Execute and propose engineering and development projects with the purpose to implement, improve and/or maintain the technical installations and products.

    Core activities:

    • Execute/manage the engineering and development projects within the set budget and time according to the local legislation.

    • Inventorize the needs of the customers and users for technical installations and products.

    • Propose projects that will contribute to quality and efficiency of the technical installations, products and logistic processes within the depots.
    • Advise the Regions and assist with technical knowledge on maintenance of technical installations and products.

    • Continuous new suppliers research for engineering and development projects to ensure wide options choices depending on the different project location and characteristics.

    3. Engineering and Development investments/cost reduction

    Advise the management on investments with the purpose to reduce costs and ensure well performing and efficient technical installations and products on short and long term.

    Core activities:

    • Study current and future needs.

    • Make cost-benefit analyses and efficiency proposals for technical investments.

    • Make efficiency proposals for technical investments, focusing on depots KPI improvement.

    • Make proposal for usages and consumptions optimizations.

    • Make proposals for maintenance/breakdown cost optimization.

    PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    • Reaching the Engineering and Development department goals.

    • Projects are executed within the set budget and time and have the expected quality and performance.

    • Support the Regions within their technical necessities.

    Knowledge/skills:

    • Approx. 5-8 years’ relevant work experience

    • Project management experience

    • Experienced in IT, software and scanning driven projects

    • Familiar with various project methodologies (e.g. Prince2, Agile, Scrum DevOps)
