Business Applications Specialist

Purpose of the job
Support and maintain together with our ICT providers the business application SAP, but also related business applications as have been introduced in our ICT environment.
Support our business users and partners with their requests in SAP and provide hands-on support.

Core activities
• Analyze and troubleshoot together with our internal and external partners when incidents occur in SAP and integration.
• Perform SAP checks on users, changes etc for audit purposes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot on the integration messages (idocs), jobs and batches. And support the key-users in solving their issues on integration messages.
• Release follow-up of SAP: The coordination and follow-up of the releases that are done in SAP / SAP PRO / SAP portal. Meaning: pursuing agreements made with the various parties, pursuing tests if the results are delayed and taking action if necessary, during or just after the release. In addition, also informing users after the release with the (most important) changes.
• Hotfix follow-up.
• Be able to create / submit / test functional description in the field of integration
• Plan technical maintenance (service pack upgrades) and monitor upon health check activities.
• Execute test plan for upgrades or releases.
• Participation of change projects

After the definition of projects together with ur partners the projects must be executed. Participate in these projects and support to the deliverables.

Core activities:
• Assist on functional and technical designs
• Check upon the delivery of a project and support key-users in testing and accepting the solution. And create the documentation for the users.
• Report to project lead the progress that is made.

Performance indicators
• SAP application is running and releases are smoothly integrated in the production environment.
• Projects are executed within given time/budget.

Knowledge & Skills
• Minimum of 3 years of experience of working with SAP application
• Project / release management administration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English / some Dutch preferred but not a pre
